THE PLAY OF THE DIVINE MASCULINE AND THE DIVINE FEMININE

I had written an earlier blog post that ‘The Universe vibrates at the frequency of wholeness when order is maintained through balance and mutual respect of the masculine and feminine, regardless of whether we are male or female as a being.’

I pondered on this thought further as I intuitively knew that this revelation had a deeper meaning to it. It was revealing and reflecting of the potential of human consciousness to vibrate at the frequency of the universal consciousness.

I realized that living in India for a large part of my life had already been revealing this to me in bits and pieces from childhood. I had grown up celebrating festivals and listening to stories of Gods and Goddesses. We celebrated both the God and Goddess in each festival and each story had a God and Goddess coming together to manifest the final creation. For me God existed with the Goddess and the Goddess with the God. There was no two ways about it. I dived a little deeper into this thought and the universe guided me to meet Shiva (Divine masculine) and Shakti (Divine Feminine).

One of the philosophies or knowingness that resonated with my own experiences of the Divine masculine and feminine is that Shiva (Divine masculine) is the awareness and Shakti (Divine feminine) is the aliveness. Shiva is the sacred ground on which Shakti creates. Without the stillness and grounding of Shiva the creative energy of Shakti becomes uncontrollable and without the creative energy of Shakti, Shiva becomes just an observer without the ability to create or manifest his creation. This is best depicted in pictures and idols of Goddess Kali (a form of Shakti) where she is in her full potential of creating and is standing on Shiva. They merge to create the Oneness and dissolve into this oneness where the masculine and feminine cease to exist and the pure consciousness of creation manifests as the Universe.

This is the macrocosm and a reflection of this is in play on this planet with every intimate relationship we manifest in our lives, whether male-female, male-male or female-female, in each relationship there exists a Shiva and a Shakti.

We come together to manifest this highest potential of creation, which at that moment we may or may not be aware of. We come together to balance this Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine within us and within the relationship to be able to open up to the field of possibilities that exist within this playground of the universal consciousness.

At the time of meeting if the masculine and feminine energies (the Shiva and the Shakti) are in balance in both the beings, then we plant a seed for a whole fulfilling life path which serves us and the universe from a space of pure consciousness to create and manifest our highest capabilities as human beings.

Only when Shiva and Shakti are in union within you will you be able to enter a sacred space with the other. I trust that this revelation creates space for reflection of the Divine masculine and feminine within your intimate relationships and above all within your own Self. The play of these energies within as you go about your daily lives creating possibilities and the importance of this awareness that may lead you to take quantum leaps in manifesting your creations.

‘Looking at the energies of Shiva and Shakti: it is totally inadequate to call Shiva male and Shakti female, since these terms limit God, who cannot be limited.

Our minds are limited to seeing masculine and feminine as polar opposites, but Shiva and Shakti have been married since before the dawn of creation. They are a divine whole that chooses to express itself by taking on the appearance of being masculine and feminine.

You and I do the same thing. Although my body may be male, my inner self identifies with spirit as a whole, and therefore my soul must include both Shiva and Shakti.

Shiva is silence. Shakti is power. Shiva is creativity. Shakti is creation. Shiva is love. Shakti is loving. These qualities aren’t opposites but complements, which is a perfect description of a sacred marriage.’
